How to type Amharic here
- Type the sound in English letters. Words convert to Fidel as you go —
selam → ሰላም, tena yistilign → ጤና ይስጥልኝ.
- Space picks the highlighted word. As you type, suggestions appear above the
space bar with the first one highlighted in blue. Keep typing until the word you
want is highlighted, then press Space to take it — or tap any word in the strip.
- Prefer tapping? Pick a vowel order 1–7 (1 ä · 4 a · 6 ə …),
then tap a consonant key — it’s drawn in that order. a e i o u are standalone vowels.
- Double-tap Space to flip to page 2 (the extra/emphatic letters: ጠ ጨ ጰ ሐ ኀ …).
- When you’re done, hit Copy and paste anywhere. Clear empties this box.
